Itinerary :
Day 1: Marrakech ➝ High Atlas ➝ Ait Ben Haddou ➝ Dades Area
Your private desert adventure begins with an early departure from Marrakech, heading toward the High Atlas Mountains. The route winds through dramatic scenery and traditional Berber villages, with several stops to admire panoramic views along the way.
A major highlight of the day is the visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and renowned for its unique architecture and cinematic history. After time to explore and enjoy lunch, the journey continues through the Rose Valley, known for its seasonal blooms and kasbah-dotted landscapes, before arriving in the Dades region for dinner and overnight rest.
Day 2: Dades Area ➝ Todra Gorges ➝ Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, the tour continues toward the impressive Todra Gorge, where sheer rock walls rise dramatically above a narrow riverbed lined with palm trees. You’ll have time to walk through the canyon and take in its striking natural beauty.
The journey then heads south through desert towns, oases, and ancient irrigation systems that reveal the ingenuity of traditional desert life. By afternoon, you’ll reach the edge of the Sahara Desert near Merzouga. Here, you’ll mount your camel and ride across the rolling dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets over the sand.
Upon arrival at the desert camp, enjoy a traditional dinner followed by live Berber music around the campfire. The night is spent under a sky filled with stars, offering a truly memorable desert experience.
Day 3: Merzouga ➝ Ziz Valley ➝ Middle Atlas ➝ Fes
Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most magical moments of the Sahara. After breakfast, you’ll leave the desert and begin the journey north, passing through the lush Ziz Valley, where palm groves stretch along the riverbanks.
Continuing through the Middle Atlas Mountains, the scenery changes once again to cedar forests, home to Barbary macaques often seen along the roadside. A stop is made in Ifrane, known for its alpine architecture and clean streets, before continuing to Fes.
