Itinerary :
Day 1: Ouarzazate ➝ Skoura ➝ Valley of Roses ➝ Draa Area ➝ Todra Gorge
The journey begins in Ouarzazate, heading toward the oasis of Skoura, known for its palm groves and earthen kasbahs. Continue through the Valley of Roses, a region shaped by seasonal blooms and traditional villages. Later, visit the dramatic Dades Gorge before traveling onward to the Todra Gorge. Take time to walk between the towering canyon walls and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the area before settling in for the evening.
Day 2: Todra Gorge ➝ Ziz Valley ➝ Erfoud ➝ Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
After breakfast, travel eastward through changing landscapes toward the Ziz Valley, where palm groves stretch along the riverbanks. Pass through the Tafilalet region before stopping in Erfoud, a town known for fossil discoveries and desert commerce. In the afternoon, arrive at Merzouga, where a camel caravan leads you into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets over the sand, the desert transforms into a scene of silence and color. The night is spent under a sky filled with stars.
Day 3: Merzouga ➝ Rissani ➝ Alnif ➝ Tazarine ➝ Zagora
Wake early to witness sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast in the desert. Depart toward Rissani, an important historical and commercial center of the region. Continue across arid mountain landscapes before reaching Tazarine, where the scenery shifts once again. In the afternoon, arrive in Zagora, a desert town marking the edge of the Sahara. Along the way, stop in Tamgroute to explore its renowned Quranic manuscripts and traditional green pottery workshops.
Day 4: Zagora ➝ Draa Valley ➝ Agdez ➝ Ouarzazate
On the final day, follow the route through the Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s most scenic oases, lined with palm trees and ancient fortified villages.
